Nuevas tecnologías verdes para una nueva cultura alimentaria global

La empresa británica NSFC (Compañía de alimentos sin suelo) ha desarrollado una planta nueva, apta para el consumo humano en Almería, la provincia española pionera en la producción avanzada de alimentos sin tierra. Este producto alimentario completamente nuevo evita los ciclos reproductivos, las plagas y las enfermedades. Los antiguos comestibles se reducen a una sola especie, Vegetus almeriensis, cuatro subespecies equivalentes a los cereales, las verduras, las frutas y los frutos secos, y una serie de variedades sin especificar que la Compañía podrá ceder a los productores como marcas.
El vicepresidente de NSFC, Alfred L. Dogson, declaró en rueda de prensa: “En un espacio de tiempo presumiblemente corto, la NF (Nueva comida) sustituirá las antiguas plantas, las plantaciones y la explotación de la tierra». Preguntado si esta innovación afectaría a la Agricultura sostenible, contestó: “La Agricultura nunca fue sostenible”. “Esta profunda revolución (solamente comparable a la neolítica), liberará millones de hectáreas que ahora se sacrifican a la Agricultura”. “Esta nueva tierra liberada retornará a la reforestación y a la liberación animal”. “La presencia humana retrocederá necesariamente a las ciudades o a determinadas áreas suburbanas”. Preguntado si esta revolución afectaría a la propiedad de la tierra, aseguró: “La tierra recuperada volverá a ser salvaje”. “El progreso humano a costa del retroceso de la Naturaleza, la vieja y traumática oposición, dará paso a un Planeta Global en el que la nutrición humana dependerá de una sola especie autosuficiente”.
Preguntado por cuando podrían disponer los consumidores de este nuevo producto, afirmó que “en el plazo de un año se testará el sistema en todos los continentes y en ambos hemisferios”. “La NF es inorgánica”. “Garantizamos una estabilidad prácticamente indefinida a nuestros productos”. De la distribución y el abastecimiento aseguró que “la industria alimentaria se vería afectada dramáticamente”. Pero no dio más detalles. Se limitó a decir que la NF saldría al mercado con la etiqueta de comercio justo. Respecto de la seguridad alimentaria fue tajante: “Será absolutamente segura”.
La NSFC convocó una rueda de prensa abierta. Sin embargo, A.L. Dogson declinó contestar a la mayoría de las preguntas. La insistencia de los periodistas molestó al vicepresidente, que bruscamente dio por concluida una conferencia de prensa que se presumía larga y altamente informativa. Tampoco pudo confirmarse que la NSFC hubiera ofrecido a la Casa Real británica una degustación en privado de sus productos.

British NSFC (No Soil Food Company) has developed a new plant, suited to human consumption in Almería, Spanish leading province in advanced non earth production of food. This completely new eatable produce avoids reproductive cycles, plagues and deseases. Old eatables are reduced to one single species, Vegetus Almeriensis, four sub-species equivalent to cereals, vegetables, fruits and dry fruits, and a number of non specified varieties the Company could share with producers as brands.
NSFC Vice President, Alfred L. Dogson, stated in news conference: “NF (New Food) will replace in a presumably short space of time old plants, plantations and earth exploitation”. Asked if this innovation could affect Sustainable Agriculture, he answered: “Agriculture was never sustainable”. “This profound revolution, only comparable to that of Neolithic, will release millions of acres now sacrificed to Agriculture”. “This new free land will reverse to reforestation and animal liberation”. “Human habitation will necessarily move back to cities or pre-established suburban areas”. Asked if this revolution would affect the property of the land he assured: “The recovered land will return to wilderness”. “Human progress at the expense of Nature’s regression, the old traumatic opposition, will give way to a Global Planet, in which human nutrition will depend on a single and self sufficient species.
Asked when consumers could reach this new product, he affirmed that “in a years time the system will be tested in all continents and both hemispheres”. “The NF is un-organic”. We guarantee an almost indefinite stability of our products”. As to distribution and supplies he assured that “the food industry would be affected dramatically”. But he gave no more details. He just said NF would show in the markets with the fair commerce tag. In relation to nutritional security he was cutting: “It will be absolutely safe”.
The NSFC announced an open press conference. Nevertheless, A.L. Dogson declined to answer most of the questions. Journalists insistence annoyed the vice-president and he brusquely concluded a news conference that was presumed long and highly informative. It could´t be confirmed the NSFC offered Buckingham Palace a private tasting of their products.
